Lieutenant Colonel Junaid Ali secured a gold medal while Lieutenant General Ahsan Gulrez and Colonel Junaid Waqas gloried silver medals. The three of them triumphed and won the nation its first-ever international medals to be won in an international long-range event.

The European Long Range Championship commenced on September 5 at Bisley in the United Kingdom. After the World Championship, the said European platform is considered to be the second biggest event in the long-range category.
