Previously, the course has also been taken by other athletes including footballers Kaka, Edwin van der Sar, Gerard Pique, Oliver Kahn, NFL’s Brandon Marshall, NBA’s Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade, and Major League Baseball’s Alex Rodriguez.
“It is a huge honor to represent Pakistan on such a prestigious global stage. We are going to Harvard’s BEMS program to learn from the best in the world both faculty and program fellows and at the same time share our journey and learnings with everyone.
I am sure it will be an exciting time. It will be a journey and I look forward to sharing our learnings and experiences with the next superstars of the cricketing world,” said Rizwan.
Meanwhile, Babar Also echoed similar thoughts.
“I am a lifelong learner and I have chatted in detail with Professor Elberse and about this program. [Talha] Rehmani. My motivation for joining this world-class program at Harvard is to connect, explore, listen, learn, grow and give back to the global community.
I am sure there is a lot to learn from the amazing athletes and top business executives from the entertainment, media and sports industries from different parts of the world,” said Babar.
Rehmani, founder and CEO of sports talent management company Saya Corporation, will also be part of the programme.
Professor Anita Elberse, one of the youngest women to achieve tenure at Harvard Business School, will preside over the event.
“I am delighted to welcome Babar Azam and Muhammad Rizwan to Harvard Business School and the BEMS program,” said Elberse. “We think other participants will benefit greatly from their experience as world-class athletes with a strong interest in the business world.”
