LAHORE: Pakistan’s veteran fast bowler Hasan Ali suffered an injury during the ongoing T20 Blast tournament in Birmingham.

The incident happened moments before the opening match between Birmingham Bears and Yorkshire Vikings, when Hasan Ali was warming up on the field. Despite his absence, his team, the Birmingham Bears, emerged victorious, securing a 34-run victory.

Specific details about the nature of Hasan Ali’s injury remain undisclosed till now. Witnesses reported that Birmingham Bears staff quickly attended to him, rendering aid and removing him from the ground.

Among the esteemed Pakistani cricketers participating in the tournament are Shaheen Afridi, an accomplished fast bowler, Shan Masood, a stylish left-handed opening batsman, Shadab Khan, an all-rounder, Zafar Gohar, a left-arm spinner, Usama Mir, a. The 21st edition of the T20 Blast tournament, now called Vitality Blast, kicked off with an enthralling double header at the Edgbaston Stadium in Birmingham on 20 May. Originated in June 2003 as the inaugural T20 League, initially called the T20 Cup, the competition is administered under the administration of the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).

The tournament maintains the same format as previous years, with 18 county teams divided into North and South groups.
