ISLAMABAD (Internews Pakistan) – In connection with the severe economic hardships, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leader Hammad Azhar urged the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) to quit the government.
Speaking to the media, Mr Azhar said there was no positivity in terms of the country’s exports, adding that the incumbent government failed to provide relief to the masses.
Recounting the contributions made by the PTI-led government, she said, “The PTI had provided relief to the masses to a significant level.”
Lamenting the country was facing severe economic hardships, Mr Azhar said the political opponents had also worsened the country’s economy twice before their current regime.
Mr Azhar took a dig at the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), saying the electoral watchdog had become fun in front of the entire population.
Lashing out at Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Mr Azhar said, “For four months, Ishaq Dar showed stubbornness to the International Monetary Fund (IMF). He also vowed the country will get money from Qatar or from another country.”
Mr Azhar stressed the need for a mandate in the country, adding that the masses should have the opportunity to elect the rulers at will.
Continuing to take a jibe at the political opponents, Mr Azhar claimed, “The PDM government was unelected.”
He also flayed Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar, saying, “The masses should not listen to people like Azam Nazeer Tarar, who could not even win the election of councilor.”
