Nov 16(ABC): Wang Kun, a general manager at the China Railway Group who is working on the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway project, is an expert in building tunnels. He calls a 180m T-shaped rigid frame bridge on the line in Indonesia “unique.”
The bridge is the highest on the whole line and has the deepest pile foundation. While building the bridge, the construction team overcame forces of nature like floods, heavy rain and tricky terrain, with technology and experience. The smooth progress of the project demonstrates China’s world-class technology in tunneling.
