Death toll from monsoon rains, floods in Balochistan climbs to 336

QUETTA, Sep 30(ABC): The death toll from the recent monsoon rains and floods in different parts of Balochistan has climbed to 336 as four more children died when roof of a house collapsed in Qila Saifullah while one child drowned in Noshki on Thursday.

As per Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), death toll from recent monsoon rains and floods in different parts of Balochistan has risen to 336, including 149 men, 80 women and 107 children, while 186 persons have been injured.

The PDMA reported that over 75,000 houses were completely destroyed while 150,000 houses were partially damaged by the recent rains and floods in the province.

The PDMA reported that 2,378 km length of roads and 54 bridges were damaged due to the floods. The PDMA is conducting relief operations in the affected districts.
