Chinese Consul General announces aid of Rs300 million for flood victims

LAHORE, Sep 1(ABC): Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi on Thursday met the Consul General of China Zhao Shirin. The Chinese Consul General announced a financial assistance of 300 million rupees for the flood victims.

In the meeting held at the Chief Minister’s House, Consul General of China Zhao Shirin gave a message of goodwill to CM Elahi from the government of China and the Ambassador of China to Pakistan. Regretted and reiterated the commitment of cooperation for the rehabilitation of the victims.

On this occasion, the promotion of investment in various sectors, education and cooperation in other sectors was discussed. In the meeting, it was also agreed to advance the CPEC project.

The Chinese Consul General said that the Chinese Consul General Office in Lahore will provide 300 million rupees for the rehabilitation of the victims. Performed well.

CM Pervaiz Elahi thanked the Chinese leadership and people for their cooperation in helping the flood victims and said that China’s sending of tents and other relief materials to the flood victims is commendable.
