NEPRA increases power tariff by Rs9.42 per unit on K-Electric’s request

KARACHI, July 4(ABC): K-Electric increased the power rate by Rs9.42 per unit on the request of K-Electric on Monday.

The increase has been made under the head of annual fuel adjustment for the month of May. K-Electric contended that the department had to recover Rs380 billion.

The NEPRA chairman said that they are ready to provide cheap electricity. “We are also ready to talk to the federal and provincial government to provide cheap electricity to K-Electric,” he added.

Earlier, the NEPRA had approved an Rs9.66 per unit increase in the power tariff.
