Deputy Speaker to chair the budget session of PA

LAHORE, June 15(ABC): Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly Sardar Dost Mazari on Wednesday will attend the budget session set to be held in Aiwan-e-Iqbal.

The Deputy Speaker Mazari will be attending the session after coming by-air from Islamabad while he will be chairing the budget session.

Sardar Awais Laghari will be presenting the budget of the fiscal year 2023.

Earlier, Speaker Punjab Assembly, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, on Tuesday said that there was a procedure of convening a session of Punjab Assembly.

Talking to media along with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders, he said that as per procedure for convening of session governor had to write to secretary assembly in this regard.

He said that Deputy Speaker could not preside the session in presence of the Speaker of the assembly.
