A wax figure of Princess Diana has been unveiled in a Paris museum, quickly becoming a focal point for visitors and admirers.
The statue features Diana wearing the iconic black “Revenge Dress” she wore to the Serpentine Gallery event in London in 1994, the same night King Charles III publicly admitted to his infidelity. The figure is posed with high heels, a pearl choker, and a small handbag, symbolizing both royal scandals and fashion moments that defined her life.
Parisians continue to affectionately call her “Lady Di”, leaving flowers and handwritten tributes near the Pont de l’Alma tunnel, where she tragically died.
The wax figure has been deliberately placed away from statues of her former husband and mother-in-law, reflecting Diana’s independence and autonomy. French novelist Christine Urban described the black dress as a turning point when Diana began telling her own story and asserting her voice.
Visitors at the unveiling said the exhibit was an emotional moment, showing that Paris has never forgotten Princess Diana and continues to honor her legacy.
