Lodhran police have arrested a most-wanted murder suspect, Zoalfqar Ali, from Dubai and transferred him to Lahore, more than a decade after he fled Pakistan following a 2013 murder in Chak 344 WB, Dunyapur.
According to the Lodhran police spokesperson, the accused had disappeared abroad after killing a local resident named Altaaf. A Red Notice was issued for his arrest, and investigators later determined his presence in Dubai with the assistance of Interpol.
A joint operation by Interpol authorities and Punjab Police resulted in his arrest. A special team transported Zoalfqar Ali from Dubai to Lahore Airport, where he was handed over to Imran Umar, SHO City Dunyapur.
District Police Officer (DPO) Lodhran, Captain (R) Ali Bin Tariq, said the police are implementing a strict zero-tolerance policy against proclaimed offenders. He added that the force will not hesitate to take any measures locally or internationally to capture wanted criminals.
