Government orders major reshuffle in Establishment Division

The federal government has carried out a major reshuffle in the Establishment Division, transferring and reassigning several key officers as part of a broad administrative overhaul.

According to official sources, Secretary Establishment Division Barrister Nabeel Ahmed Awan has formed a new team after receiving approval from the Prime Minister. As part of the restructuring, Syeda Shafaq Hashmi, an officer of the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS) in Grade 19 who was previously serving at the Senate Secretariat, has been appointed as Joint Secretary Establishment Division.

Meanwhile, Joint Secretary Naila Baqar has been transferred to the Housing and Works Division, marking another significant change in the division’s senior administrative structure. Several other officers have also been moved to the Establishment Division under Section 10 or through inter-department transfers. These include Majid Ali Pehnwar, previously Joint Secretary Poverty Alleviation, now appointed Joint Secretary Establishment Division; Aamir Hussain Ghazi, formerly Deputy Secretary Poverty Alleviation, now appointed Joint Secretary Establishment Division under Section 10; Piyar Ali Lakho, a Grade 18 officer serving in the Sindh government, now posted as Deputy Secretary Establishment Division; and Shireen Hina Asghar, previously Section Officer in the Interior Ministry, now appointed Deputy Secretary Establishment Division under Section 10.

Additionally, Raja Rashid Ali, previously serving as Joint Secretary Establishment Division, has been transferred and appointed as Joint Secretary Poverty Alleviation and Social Welfare Division.
