Passenger offloaded at Karachi Airport over fake driving license for Saudi visa

1 min read

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration at Karachi Airport stopped an attempt by a Pakistani national to travel to Saudi Arabia using fake documents.

Officials said the passenger, identified as Muhammad Rehan from Bannu, was scheduled to fly on G9547.

He had obtained a visa for employment as a heavy truck driver using a forged HTV (Heavy Transport Vehicle) license, allegedly issued by the License Branch Clifton.

Preliminary investigation revealed that an agent had charged Rehan PKR 350,000 to arrange the fake license for his employment in Saudi Arabia.

Rehan admitted that he had never visited the Clifton license branch and that the license was entirely forged.

The suspect has been handed over to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle Karachi for further investigation, as authorities continue to probe the network behind the fraudulent visa and license scheme.
