A private team using trained tracking dogs to catch thieves was abducted by criminals in Sadiqabad, Rahim Yar Khan, police said.
The incident occurred when a four-member team, employing sniffer dogs to trace stolen goods, was kidnapped. Sadiqabad police confirmed that a case was registered on humanitarian grounds following the abduction.
Authorities reported that the team, along with the dogs, went missing five days ago near Obaadu. Efforts to recover them are ongoing, involving joint operations by police forces from Rahim Yar Khan, Kashmore, and Ghotki districts.
Officials said the abduction highlights the increasing risks faced by private security and detective personnel operating in high-crime areas. Police investigations are ongoing to track the whereabouts of the team and bring the perpetrators to justice.
