Pakistan Blind Women’s Cricket Team marched into the semi-finals of the Women’s T20 Blind World Cup after delivering a commanding 130-run victory over Australia Blind Women.
Batting first, Pakistan set a formidable total, powered by a brilliant innings from Mehreen Ali, who struck 133 runs off 70 balls. She was well supported by Bushra Ashraf, contributing a valuable 59 runs. Both players were run out, but their aggressive batting had already placed Pakistan in a dominant position.
Chasing a target of 299, Australia Blind Women struggled to keep pace with the required run rate and managed 179 for 5 in their allotted overs. Pakistan’s disciplined bowling and fielding ensured that the pressure never eased on the Australian side.
The victory secures Pakistan’s place in the knockout stage of the tournament, which marks the first-ever Women’s T20 Blind World Cup, currently being hosted across India and Sri Lanka.
