Three officers of the National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) were martyred in a traffic accident on the M-5 Motorway near Uch Sharif, according to an official statement issued by the department’s spokesperson.
Inspector General Motorway Police B.A. Nasir expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives and extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the martyred officers. He said the officers sacrificed their lives while performing their duties and their services would always be remembered.
The IG assured full support for the families of the martyrs and stated that all possible assistance would be provided.
He added that the sacrifices of the fallen officers would remain a lasting part of the force’s legacy.
IG Nasir further said that a thorough investigation of the accident had been ordered and those found responsible would face strict legal action.
The NHMP spokesperson confirmed that the investigation team has been directed to complete the probe as soon as possible.
