Justice K.K. Agha has taken the oath as a judge of Pakistan’s newly established Federal Constitutional Court, in a ceremony held at the Islamabad High Court.
The oath was administered by Chief Justice of the Federal Constitutional Court, Justice Amin-ud-Din Khan. Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Sardar Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar also attended the ceremony.
Other participants included Federal Constitutional Court judges Justice Amir Farooq, Justice Hasan Azhar Rizvi, and Justice Ali Baqar Najafi, as well as Islamabad High Court judges Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir, Justice Muhammad Azam Khan, Justice Inam Amin Minhas, Justice Khadim Hussain Soomro, and Justice Muhammad Asif. Officials from various bar associations were also present.
The Federal Constitutional Court was established following the 27th Constitutional Amendment, with Justice Amin-ud-Din Khan appointed as its first chief. He recently took office and administered oaths to the court’s inaugural judges, including Justice K.K. Agha.
