Authorities have arrested another key facilitator linked to the suicide attack at Islamabad’s court complex, marking a significant breakthrough in the ongoing investigation.
According to sources, the arrested suspect provided logistical support to the suicide bomber. Intelligence agencies also detained a tailor involved in preparing the explosive-laden jacket used in the attack.
Sources revealed that the suicide jacket was made in Peshawar, where the explosive material was also supplied. The facilitator transported the jacket from Peshawar, hiding it in a sack for three days under a tree. The jacket was later kept with the tailor, who reportedly knew it was intended for a suicide attack.
Officials say that following the arrest of the main facilitator, further interrogations are expected to yield additional critical information. The suspect has admitted to maintaining contacts with the extremist group Fitna al-Khawarij.
