Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have formally signed an agreement outlining arrangements and facilities for Hajj 2026, ensuring smooth management and services for Pakistani pilgrims.
The agreement was signed in Jeddah by Dr. Abdul Fattah Al-Mishat, Saudi Deputy Minister for Hajj and Umrah, and Dr. Syed Ata-ur-Rehman, Pakistan’s Federal Secretary for Religious Affairs.
The signing ceremony was attended by Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Said Al-Maliki, Director General of Hajj Jeddah Abdul Wahab Soomro, Directors of Hajj in Makkah Azizullah Khan and Madinah Zia-ur-Rehman, Deputy Secretary Hajj Policy Chaudhry Kashif Hussain, and officials from Pakistan’s private Hajj operators’ representative body, HOAP.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Ata-ur-Rehman thanked the Saudi government for its continued efforts in hosting pilgrims and providing world-class facilities. He assured that, as in the previous year, Pakistani pilgrims would be offered high-quality services during Hajj 2026.
He added that the Ministry of Religious Affairs is fully committed to completing all arrangements for both government and private Hajj schemes efficiently and on schedule, in accordance with Saudi regulations.
