Eight Pakistani officials appointed to global tennis committees

Pakistan has achieved a notable milestone in international tennis as eight Pakistani officials have been appointed to various committees of the International Tennis Federation and Asian Tennis Federation for the 2026–2027 term.

The development reflects growing recognition of Pakistan’s role in promoting and developing tennis at both regional and global levels.

Among the key appointments, former Davis Cup star Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi has been named a member of the ITF Athlete Commission. Meanwhile, Salim Saifullah has joined the ATF Finance, Legal and Development Committee.

Additionally, Colonel Ziauddin has been appointed to the ATF Junior and Coaches Development Committee, while Sarah Mansoor will serve on the ITF Coaches Commission.

Muhammad Ali Murtaza has been included in the ITF Junior Committee, whereas Rashid Malik has been selected for the ATF Marketing and Sponsorship Committee.

Similarly, Shehzad Akhtar Alvi has joined the Tournament Officiating Committee, and Khalid Rehmani has been appointed to the ATF Senior, Wheelchair and Beach Tennis Committee.

Commenting on the development, Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi said that the confidence shown by international tennis bodies in Pakistani officials is a matter of pride. He added that representation in global committees would help strengthen Pakistan’s image and contribute to the growth of tennis in the country.
