Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman has announced that the party will not field any candidates until the schedule for national elections is officially released.

Addressing the closing session of the party’s “Badal Do Nizam” public gathering at Minar-e-Pakistan, he said political parties across the country suffer from a crisis of discipline, but Jamaat-e-Islami remains committed to operating strictly under its organizational system.

Hafiz Naeem criticized the government’s policies, alleging that decisions were being taken to please former U.S.

President Donald Trump. He said Pakistan had suffered greatly by aligning itself with American interests and urged the country’s leadership to take a firm stand for Palestine while uniting the entire nation on the issue.

He reiterated that Jamaat-e-Islami would not announce any candidates before the election schedule is issued, stressing that the party seeks national unity and does not want to fuel provincial divisions.
