FIA stops passenger trying to fly to Europe with fake documents

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration stopped a passenger attempting to travel illegally to Europe at Islamabad International Airport, officials said.

According to authorities, the passenger, Muhammad Usman, tried to board a flight to Europe under the pretext of an Umrah visa. During immigration clearance for flight PK-713, officials discovered that Usman had previously been deported from Italy earlier this year for illegal migration and was in contact with multiple travel agents for his current attempt.

Further inspection revealed a tampered resident card on Usman’s mobile phone, with the expiration date altered to bypass checks. FIA officials said Usman intended to travel to Europe via Saudi Arabia using fraudulent documents.

The passenger was offloaded and taken into custody, and has been handed over to the Composite Circle Gujranwala for further legal action.
