Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif congratulated Pakistan’s javelin team for their outstanding performance at the Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh.
The Prime Minister praised Arshad Nadeem for winning the gold medal and Muhammad Yasir for claiming silver, saying the athletes have made the nation proud through their talent and dedication. “Arshad Nadeem and Muhammad Yasir achieved success in the Islamic Solidarity Games through hard work and skill. Their efforts, along with those of their coaches, have brought recognition to Pakistan,” he added.
Shahbaz Sharif also highlighted that Pakistani athletes are excelling across various formats and emphasized the government’s commitment to providing youth with better sporting opportunities on a priority basis.
In a statement, Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi lauded Arshad Nadeem’s victory, saying it has made every Pakistani proud. “Arshad Nadeem’s win is a triumph for Pakistanis who love sports and peace. He has won the hearts of the nation,” Naqvi remarked.
