Participants of the 27th National Security Workshop visited Gwadar to learn about the strategic importance of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), safe operations at Gwadar Port, and coastal monitoring systems.
According to officials, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) Gwadar provided a comprehensive briefing on the region’s security situation. A special session was also held at the China Business Center in Gwadar, where participants received detailed updates on Gwadar Port’s development projects.
During the briefing, the GOC highlighted that maintaining peace and stability, protecting investments, supporting trade, and overseeing local development projects remain top priorities. He emphasized that security forces continue coordinated operations to prevent terrorism, curb smuggling, and safeguard coastal areas.
Participants lauded the Pakistan Army’s efforts in ensuring peace, creating a secure environment, and accelerating the pace of development in the Makran Division. They also recognized the positive changes in the region, the investment opportunities, and the effective security management systems in place.
The delegation also visited Pakistan Point Gwadar and the Pakistan Naval Ship to gain firsthand insights into the security infrastructure supporting the port and surrounding areas.
