Two tragic incidents involving young women have been reported in Lahore, highlighting the severe consequences of domestic conflicts.
In the first case, a 22-year-old woman, identified as Samina, was allegedly beaten to death by her father during a family dispute in the Kahna Sodh area.
According to police and Edhi spokespersons, the argument escalated, prompting the father to attack Samina with sticks, resulting in her immediate death.
Authorities recovered the murder weapon, and the suspect, identified as Aslam, was arrested from Azad Town.
Samina’s body has been transferred to the morgue after completion of legal procedures. SSP Model Town Shehrbano Naqvi confirmed the arrest and said the investigation is ongoing.
In a separate incident, an 18-year-old girl named Aram allegedly committed suicide by ingesting poisonous pills in Saidpur, Sabzazar, reportedly due to a domestic dispute.
Police and investigative teams collected evidence at the scene and have begun a formal inquiry into the circumstances. Aram’s body has been moved to the morgue.
