Police have arrested three women allegedly involved in a honey-trap scheme in which elderly men were lured to private locations, recorded secretly in compromising situations, and later blackmailed for money.
According to officials in Tuesday, the arrests were made by the Factory Area Police near 78 Pull, where the suspects had taken an elderly man to a house and filmed him for extortion purposes. Police said the victim was deliberately targeted and manipulated as part of a planned setup.
Investigators revealed that the three women were part of a seven-member group operating in the area. The gang reportedly focused on elderly citizens, using coercion and hidden cameras to produce objectionable videos before demanding payments to keep the footage from being leaked.
Police added that raids are under way to trace and arrest the remaining members of the group. Authorities have stated that further action will be taken once the full network is dismantled.
