Pakistan’s national football team suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of Syria in the FIFA World Cup 2027 qualifiers, losing 0-5 at Jinnah Stadium in Islamabad.
In the first half, Pakistan showed glimpses of strong play, but Syria managed to take an early lead with a goal. In the second half, Syria broke through Pakistan’s defense and scored four more goals to seal a dominant victory.
Syria’s goals came from Mohammad Al Halk and Yaseen Al Samieh, who scored two each, while Alhaddin Yaseen added another, completing the 5-0 rout.
The loss marks a setback for Pakistan in their bid to qualify for the 2027 FIFA World Cup, highlighting defensive gaps that the team will need to address in upcoming matches.
