Pakistani film and television superstar Mahira Khan revealed she spent time with blind girls to bring authenticity to her upcoming role in the film “Nilofar”, in which she plays a visually impaired character for the first time.
Speaking to the media, Mahira expressed her excitement over having two film releases in a single year for the first time. Known for her performance in the blockbuster film “Mulaqat”, she said she always gives her heart to every character she portrays.
Reflecting on her career, Mahira said she has worked alongside some of the subcontinent’s most popular actors, including Shah Rukh Khan, Fawad Khan, Fahad Mustafa, and Humayun Saeed, and was well-received in these roles.
The actress also spoke about her love for Karachi, highlighting the city’s resilience and the hospitality of its people.
She called on government authorities to address the city’s pressing issues, noting that despite challenges, Karachi’s residents are open-hearted and tolerant.
“Karachi is my birthplace, and it will always hold a special place in my heart,” Mahira said, recalling the city’s vibrant culture, including celebrations like Holi and Diwali.
