Renowned folk singer Sanam Marvi has shared details about her early career and how her earnings from music performances have evolved over time.
Speaking on a recent podcast, Marvi revealed that she received Rs 27,000 for her first major music program—a sum she described as significant at the time. She said the earnings allowed her to buy essential household items, including a bed, TV, washing machine, and other things for her mother, while still managing to save.
Marvi emphasized the importance of perseverance in her career, explaining that despite facing disappointments, she never gave up and always encouraged her daughter to continue working hard. “Continuous effort pays off,” she said.
Regarding her current earnings, Marvi stated that she now charges up to Rs 2.5 million for music concerts, weddings, and similar events, reflecting her established reputation in the industry.
