Former Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed has been assigned new responsibilities by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), taking charge of the Pakistan Shaheens and Under-19 national teams.
According to PCB sources, Sarfaraz will oversee team management, coaching arrangements, and tour planning for both sides. He will also have the authority to accompany the teams on tours and participate in training sessions and series held in Pakistan.
This appointment marks a significant administrative role for Sarfaraz, allowing him to contribute to the development of Pakistan’s emerging cricket talent while bringing his experience as a former national captain to youth setups.
PCB officials highlighted that Sarfaraz’s involvement is expected to strengthen team coordination and provide strategic guidance during domestic and international engagements.
