Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police, in a joint operation with the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), have killed five foreign terrorists in the border areas of Bannu and Lakki Marwat districts.
According to local police sources, the operation targeted the presence of the extremist group Fitna al-Khawarij in the areas of Takhti Khel and Howaid. The raid was conducted under the direct supervision of Regional Police Officer Bannu, Sajad Khan, and received strong support from local residents.
“All personnel remained safe, and the operation successfully neutralized five terrorists,” a police spokesperson said. Residents confirmed their cooperation, standing alongside security forces to maintain peace in the region.
Regional Police Officer Sajad Khan emphasized that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police remain vigilant and prepared to protect civilians and ensure law and order. Inspector General of Police (IGP) KP, Zulfiqar Hameed, commended the Bannu and Lakki Marwat police for the successful operation.
The authorities have assured continued efforts to prevent extremist activities and safeguard border communities.
