The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Division Bench has suspended the single bench order to dissolve the Capital Development Authority (CDA). The stay was issued against the June 19 directive of Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani, which had initiated the process to terminate the CDA.
The Division Bench, comprising Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir and Justice Inaam Amin Minhas, issued a written order putting the single bench decision on hold. The suspension came in response to an intra-court appeal filed against the original ruling.
The court has scheduled the next hearing on the intra-court appeal for the second week of December. Until then, the CDA termination process remains on hold.
Sources confirmed that the single bench had previously directed that steps be taken to dissolve the CDA, triggering the intra-court appeal that led to the suspension.
