Bollywood stars Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan have filed a lawsuit against Google and YouTube, accusing the platforms of allowing their photos and videos to be misused in deepfake and AI-generated content.

According to Indian media, the couple has sought damages of 40 million Indian rupees, arguing that YouTube’s policies and the use of third-party content for AI training have enabled violations of privacy and misuse of their likeness.

Legal documents reveal that the lawsuit specifically targets objectionable AI-generated material. A YouTube channel titled “AI Bollywood Ishq” has uploaded more than 259 such videos, many of which have attracted millions of views.

One of the controversial clips allegedly showed Aishwarya Rai Bachchan with Salman Khan in a pool, while another portrayed Abhishek Bachchan in a compromising act.

The case is scheduled for hearing on January 15, according to media report.
